I don’t hear the people who we put in these power to oversee and make sure they protect Jamaicans?” Cham questioned.

The artiste stated that this fraud case reflected poorly on the entire country and questioned if it is that “Jamaicans shouldn’t invest in our own country?”

Sylvester Stallone’s Wife Filed for Divorce Because He Adopted A another Rottweiler

Sylvester Stallone’s Wife Image

Sylvester Stallone’s Wife Filed for Divorce Because He Wanted Another Dog

Before you think about bringing another pet into the family despite your partner’s wishes, think again. Sylvester Stallone’s wife, model Jennifer Flavin, reportedly filed for divorce after the couple disagreed over whether or not to get a new dog.

TMZ reports that Stallone wanted to adopt a Rottweiler to help protect their family, but Flavin wasn’t into the idea — spurring a heated argument earlier this summer that apparently brought up a number of other issues between the couple. Sources told TMZ “none of those issues appeared to be marriage-enders,” although we think the timing is a little too convenient. Regardless, Stallone persisted and adopted a Rottweiler anyway.

Watch video

The pup, Dwight, shares a first name with Stallone’s character on the upcoming Paramount+ crime drama series Tulsa King. Sources insist that the actor felt he and Flavin could’ve worked out their differences, but now that the divorce is under way, he seems to be really leaning into the new dog dad lifestyle. On August 5th, he shared an Instagram post dedicated to Dwight, captioned: “So incredibly happy with my newly acquired four legged friend ‘DWIGHT’ my characters name from the Series, keep punching and keep barking !!! Thank you very much to Trainer and breeder Dave Smith and his wonderful wife !!!” Another Instagram post arrived three days later, captioned: “‘DWIGHT’ Definitely a true friend! KeepPunching And Keep barking!”

Sponsored

That all seems perfectly innocent, but it seemed suspicious after Flavin shared a photo August 10th of her with the couple’s three daughters. “These girls are my priority,” she wrote. “Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.” That number feels very specific!

As a final nail in the coffin: Earlier this week, Daily Mail shared a photo indicating that Stallone had gotten his bicep portrait tattoo of Flavin covered up with a portrait of Butkus, the bullmastiff who appeared alongside Stallone in the first two Rocky films. So, the lesson we’ve learned today is: It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how good of a tattoo artist you have. See the posts below.

This isn’t the only sketchy buzz around Stallone’s name recently. Back in December, an eyebrow-raising selfie prompted followers to believe he may be a believer in the alt-right conspiracy movement QAnon. This summer, he was among a list of celebrities accused of massive water restriction violations in Southern California, meaning he had overstepped his monthly water budget by at least 150% no less than four times since the end of last year. You can catch him in Tulsa King, his first-ever recurring TV role, November 13th on Paramount+.

Teen shot and killed by relative

Teen shot and killed by relative

A 16-year-old high-school student is now dead, after being shot multiple times, allegedly by her granduncle at her home on Lincoln Road, east Kingston, on Saturday.

The teen, Sorika Picart, a student of Alpha Academy, was shot at least six times by the family member, who residents said was recently deported and had been acting strangely. After killing Picart, the man challenged a team of police in a shootout before making his escape on foot.

A woman, who was travelling in the unmarked police vehicle, was shot in the arm.

Picart's father told THE STAR that the untimely death of his daughter has robbed him of a chance to mend their partially broken relationship, and denied her the opportunity to achieve greatness.

"Wi never really had the best of relationships because I am the stricter of her two parents. I am very, very devastated right now. I don't even know how to describe this situation here," the father said.

"I try to encourage to keep her head up. She was doing science and business subjects. She had her whole life in front of her and was a special kid.

"I normally have her from time to time, but in the last she decided to go back to live with her mother because I was too strict. I was trying to curb her the right way as a young teenager," the tearful father said.

He said that as a result of a broken relationship with the child's mother, he was hitting roadblocks in his attempt to fix things with his firstborn.

Meanwhile, THE STAR understands that shortly before her death, Picart and another friend was on her verandah playing a game of ludo. It is alleged that the granduncle was acting strangely, much to the discomfort of the teens. The friend reportedly left the house to go home and prepare dinner. It is further alleged that minutes later, loud explosions were heard coming from the premises.

Residents claimed that the shooter exited the house shortly after with the weapon in his hand.

Head of the East Kingston Police Division, Superintendent Tomilee Chambers, confirmed that a woman was shot in the hand during the shootout between the suspect and the police.

"I am told he escaped on foot after he engaged the police who were in close vicinity when the incident occurred. When they rushed to see what happened, he engaged them. A lady who was travelling in a car, I am told, received a gunshot in her hand. We will be scouring the space to ensure that we apprehend this person in the quickest time possible," Chambers said.

Reports from the Four Paths police are that about 7:40 a.m., citizens were at a local playing field when a Toyota motor car approached, and two men alighted and opened fire at the group before escaping.

Big twist in haircut saga - Teenager’s story questioned by peers

Big twist in haircut saga - Teenager’s story questioned by peers

Three persons who claim to be associates of Princess Nzinga King have questioned her claim that her dreadlocked hair was trimmed by a cop while she was locked up at the Four Paths Police Station in Clarendon.

They told THE WEEKEND STAR yesterday that they were stunned by media reports of a high-level investigation being launched to ascertain how King, 19, lost her dreadlocks. They said that days before the matter came to public attention, King told them that she cut off her hair. All three persons have requested that their identities be protected. They said King told them that she decided to cut her dreadlocks because she saw some white things looking like fungus in her hair.

"She didn't mention anything about police, so it was a shocker to me when I read the paper on Tuesday that the police cut her hair," one person said. A similar story was relayed by another person who claims to have knowledge of the situation.

She say when she come out Monday [July 26] she start see some white thing ina har hair like fungus, and a so she end up cut har hair."

King, a Rastafarian, alleged that her hair was trimmed while she was in custody at the station on July 22. The teenager was taken into custody on a charge of disorderly conduct following an altercation with the police. Her mother, Shirley McIntosh, said she was held at the station until July 26.

The ordeal arose from a June 29 incident. She was fined $6,000 or 10 days' imprisonment. The fine was not immediately paid on July 22 and King was held until the 26th when her mother paid the money and went to retrieve her. She said that she did not initially recognise her daughter.

"Them cut off her hair, bald off her locks and she looked like someone that was mad," McIntosh said. The implicated cops have denied cutting King's hair. Since then, the Police High Command, the Independent Commission of Investigations and the Office of the Public Defender are undertaking separate probes to ascertain the truth.

One of King's peers, who claims to have been interviewed by the police, said she has decided to come forward because the allegations in the public domain do not match up with the disclosure allegedly made to her by King.

"Mi upset cause from last night mi a cuss because she tell wi a thing and now she a talk say police cut it. It don't look good because di woman can lose har job," the woman said.

Meanwhile, Isat Buchanan, the lawyer retained by King's family, said he is aware that at least one person has questioned the veracity of his client's claims.

"The only thing I can tell you is that there is a charge called creating public mischief and perverting the course of justice, and any student with ambition to be a nurse should remember that they will be required to pass a fit and proper test, and so when you go and make statements and it is proven wrong to pervert the course of justice, the hands of the law will find you. Everybody who have dem talk must back it up," Buchanan said.
