Tourists can be seen crouching between seats during a tense standoff between a elephant and a safari truck in Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa.The driver can be heard shouting for the elephant to "go away" and slapping his hand against the side of the truck to scare away the animal. Another video from inside the truck shows frightened tourists covering on the floor of the vehicle. One woman can be heard praying as the elephant approaches.

The safari guide who warded off the elephant was praised by wildlife experts.

The field operations manager, Poncho Mogodiri of Mankwe Game Trackers, the tour company involved in the incident, told ABC News the guide and guests were in animal hide when the bull elephant approached. "Hides provide you with the rare opportunity to unobtrusively view the wildlife and birds at close quarters," according to Pilanesberg National Park.

According to the manager Mogodiri some of the tourists went too close to the elephant to take pictures and he started getting aggressive.

The guide's actions revving the engine, slamming car doors and shouting to ward the elephant away have been widely praised by wildlife experts. Mogodiri said the guide reacted "by the book."

"Anyone that’s worked with elephants will tell you when a bull like that charges, you don’t turn and run, you need to make as much noise and stand your ground," said Ron Magill, communications director at Zoo Miami.

Mogodiri confirmed the bull was in musth, or when an elephant "experiences an increase in reproductive hormones and becomes highly aggressive," according to the Pilanesberg National Park website.

No one was injured in the incident, though Mankwe Game Trackers told ABC News one family had been offered counseling after being left "extremely rattled." The Pilanesberg National Park said it will be conducting an internal investigation of the incident.

Reports are that Jeffrey Scott West, 68, of Friendsville, Tennessee, open fired hitting Kyle W. Spitze, 24, once in the ear, following an argument between the two on August. 25, 2023, according to Blount County Sheriff's  Office.

In the video footage, you can see West appears in his bedroom doorway brandishing a handgun.

“I’m getting ready to blow his goddamn brains out! Right f–kin’ now,” West is heard yelling as he appears from behind the door with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and the gun pointed directly at Spitze as he lies on his bed.

Spitze’s mother, Melanie, is seen scurrying over to West with her pants down, pleading with him to “Stop it,” eventually getting him away from the bedroom door.

“Blow my brains out? Shoot me, and I guarantee you’ll go to jail for life,” Spitze replies.

“You want me to?” West yells, coming back in view of the camera and pointing his handgun at the victim, still lounging on his bed.

Spitze’s mother begins bickering with West as she shuts her son’s door to de-escalate the heated exchange.

“I’m getting ready to blow his brains out, and yours!” West shouts from behind the door, prompting Spitze to stand up and open it.

“You gonna blow my mom’s brain out?” yells the victim, now standing in the hallway of the home, and tells West to “point that gun” at him “again.”

As the camera point toward West, the man again points the gun in Spitze’s direction.

Spitze rushes out the home’s backdoor in a panic to get help as the clip ends.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office noted that soon after, a 911 call would be made reporting the shooting.

Officers arrived around 8:15 p.m. to find Spitze and his mother outside the home, as West had begun to barricade himself inside the residence.

Members of the Sheriff’s Crisis Negotiations and SWAT teams were called in to negotiate with the shooter.

Police say they used a public address system in an attempt to talk with West while surrounding the home in hopes he would surrender.

After nearly two and a half hours of failed attempts at communicating with West, deputies sent a sheriff’s K-9 into the home shortly before 11 p.m.

West would be found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to law enforcement.

Spitze was rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury soon after police arrived.

It’s unknown what the relationship was between West and Spitze.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the August 2023 standoff, police said.

Reports are that, Tia Tamara Ferron was expecting to migrate to the United States of America to re-unite with her father and also was planning of joining the US Army, when her dream was shattered to pieces on Saturday night after a gunman entered her home in Banbury, Linstead, St Catherine, and shot her multiple times in her kitchen, she died on the spot.

According to the police Report, about 8:50 pm, residents hearing explosion and contact the Linstead police. Upon the police's arrival, Ferron was found laying in a pool of blood with what appeared to be bullet wounds to her upper body. She was taken to the Linstead Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

15-Year-Old girl Missing in Spanish Town St Catherine

 

Katana Wright 

An alert has been made for 15-year-old katana Wright of Johns Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine, who as been missing since wensday August 2.

Reports are that, katana is of dark complexion, slim build and about 167 centimeters, five feet six inches in height.

According to the Spanish Town police are that katana was last seen at home dressed in white blouse, black tights and a pair of white slippers.

The time of her disappearance is unknown and have not been heard of since then. 

Anyone knowing any information or the whereabouts of katana Wright is being ask to contact the Spanish Town police 119 emergency number or visit the nearest police station.

Dancehall Artiste Mad Cobra Arrested for Cocaine and Gun Possession

 

Reports are that veteran dancehall artiste Mad Cobra who given name is Ewert  Everton Brown, was arrested for possession of cocaine and gun on Tuesday after deputies in the Florence County, South Carolina Pulled him over for a traffic stop in his Black BMW SUV  for speeding and discovered two kilograms of cocaine in his vehicle, according to the sheriff's Office.

Once deputies had Brown stopped they reportedly had "reasonable suspicion" of criminal activity and asked for consent to search his vehicle. During the search, the deputies discovered two kilograms of cocaine and a 9mm Beretta.

A 40-year-old man said to be known as Craig 'Biggz' Barton who life was cut short by thugs in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday in Kingston Jamaica.

The police were alerted and the injured man was transported to hospital. Barton sccumed to his injuries on Friday.

Mother Charge With Murder After Telling her Son To Shoot During Fight: Watch Video

A 35-year-old Woman charged with murder after allegedly telling her 14-year-old son to shoot man during fight.

Carlishia Hood, 35 and her 14 year old son were arrested for murder on Wednesday in connection to the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Jeremy Brown. Hood bail was set for $3 million.

Reports are that around 11p.m hood went to get some food while her son waited in the car. While she was in the line on argument developed between she and Brown. Hood then allegedly started texting her son and signaling to him outside. 

Her son then entered and stood at the doorway at which point Brown punched Hood in the face three times, the video footages can be seen below.

The son retaliated immediately by pulling out a gun and fired shot at Brown, hitting him in the back. Brown ran out of the restaurant and the boy followed him firing additional shots.

Hood allegedly told her son to keep shooting Brown until dead according to prosecutors.

When the shooting was over Hood allegedly told her son to shoot a witnesses who was engaging in the argument. Hood try to took the gun away from her son, but he refused and pushed her away.

Brown suffered two gunshot wounds to the back and was pronounce dead at the scene.
