A man who is seen beating a woman in a video was remanded in custody Friday after pleading guilty to assault.
Jovan Stephenson, a 32-year-old graphic designer of Kingston addresses, entered the plea when he appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
He was held in the Charles Street area of downtown Kingston on Friday morning.
Stephenson had reportedly been on the run since a police lunched was announced to apprehend him after a Video showed him aggressively beating a woman in Half Way Tree, Wednesday.
In the video, a man is seen stomping and kicking a woman to the head, she was lying on the ground.
Jovan Stephenson is to return to court on March 30 for sentencing. Arrangements have been made for him to pay restitution.
