Two persons have died from a two-bus crash in the Salem area of the Northern Coastal Highway through St Ann on Sunday morning.
Superintendent Dwight Powell, head of the St Ann Police Division, confirmed the casualty figure up to early afternoon, but indicated that with many other persons injured from the crash between two public passenger vehicles, he was still awaiting updating from his personnel on the ground.
As seen in the video above, it was a desperate effort to save lives at the scene of the crash, where persons on the scene pitched in to render whatever assistance they could.
The lengthy and ongoing activities at the scene have resulted in gridlock along a wide section of the highway through St Ann.
