A JDF Soldier have been shot and killed in the community of Charles Street at the check points in Denham Town, early Friday morning.
Reports are that about 1:25 am, members of the military were on foot patrol duties in the Charles Street and Chestnut Lanes area when they saw a group of suspicious men traveling on foot.
The suspicious men reportedly opened gunfire at them, the soldiers quickly in retaliation returned fire.

When the shooting subsided, one of the members was found suffering from gunshot wound to the left side of his face.
Alleged the gunmen then make their escape on foot according to reports.
The injured soldier was rushed to the hospital were he was pronounced dead.
The (IDECOM) are furthering investigation on the scene.
